Landscapes of the Canadian West is an exhibit, which includes over 75 works, features pieces painted on expeditions the group has taken to Western Canada’s National and Provincial Parks.
It’s a celebration of not only the Parks’ importance for the conservation of plants, animals and natural processes, but are also how they influence how people connect with nature. They are indispensable to preserving our rich natural diversity and essential to mankind’s survival on the planet earth.
Many of the works in this exhibition were painted ‘en plein air’ in the parks of Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia, while others were derived from sketches done in the field.
